The Protection of Rights Alliance (PORA)

PORA was created in response to the lawsuit filed in federal court by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in August 2015 against the state of Michigan seeking to establish most of Emmet and part of Charlevoix Counties in Michigan as an Odawa Indian Reservation.

As a court recognized intervenor-defendant, PORA represents the interests of its members, a cross-section of individuals and businesses in the community affected by the Odawa lawsuit.
